- {Prepare 1 cup of basmati rice soaked for 20 minutes.

Instructions to make Methi -Tomato Rice:
- Wash and soak rice for 15-20 min Then take rice in a big bowl with 3 cups of water and let it boil. Add salt,turmeric powder, cinnamon stick, star anise and cardamom to the water with rice. This will make rice flavorful.
- Now take a wok Add ghee and cumin seeds When they crackle add bay leaf and sliced onions Let them sauté Add ginger garlic paste Sauté for sometime.
- Now add biryani masala and stir Add chopped tomatoes and let them cook nicely. Biryani masala is flavorful so no other masala is needed..
- Add methi leaves and stir till the water is absorbed By now the rice must have boiled Drain out the excess water and add rice in the the wok.
- Stir rice gently alongwith the prepared methi tomato masala.
- Once it’s mixed all over nicely Switch off the flame and serve hot with any raita or plain curd.
