  1. For preparing rice:Soak rice for 30 mins in water,boil water in a pan and throw in some salt,oil and pinch of turmeric(for colour) and then add the soaked rice and cook until 3/4 in done..

For chicken with masala- In a pan take oil/ghee and add half of onion paste and half of onion chopped,ginger garlic paste an fry until the oil seperates add chicken pieces salt and biryani masala and give it a good mix and cover with a lid until the chicken leaves it's natural water.check once and then add curd according to the consistency of the masala you want and cook on low flame till the chicken gets tender..
  3. For layering-in a deep pan add a layer of rice and then a layer of chicken with it's masala and sprinkle some fries onions and fried potatoes on top and continue till three layers and pour some generous amount of ghee and cover with tight lid until the rice is fluffy and 100% cooked enjoy the rice with plain dahi raita as it already has a lot of masalas in it and some papad..
