- First wash toor dal properly. keep it soaked for 30 minutes, then chopped tomatoes and grate ginger..
- Take a pressure cooker, add soaked toor dal, 4 cup water, 1/2 tsp turmeriic powder, 1 tsp salt. Cook for 3 whistles on medium high flame..
- Let pressure cooker cool down, open the lid. Toor dal is ready to fry..
- For fry....Heat ghee in a pan, add 1tsp cumin seeds, lets crackle, add grated ginger, tomatoes. Mix well..
- Cover with the lid.Cook for 2 minutes on low flame.Open the lid. Mix well..
- Add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala and 1/2 tsp salt. Mix well. Saute for one minute on low flame..
- Add toor dal, let it's boil, turn the flame low, cook for one minute. Turn off the flame..
- For Tadka...Heat a pan, add 1 tbsp butter, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, dried red chillies, hing, 1/2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder. Pour over the toor dal. Yellow Toor Dal is ready for lunch. Enjoy with roti and chawal.!!!.
